Today Unity publicly announced its AI strategies — new platforms, partnerships, and Unity's own natural-language interface for creation: Muse Chat. I'd like to celebrate the people most directly responsible for its design, who worked tirelessly through evenings and weekends with our partners over the last 8 weeks to deliver what we shipped today.

So many people helped and did so much these last couple of weeks. I'd like to highlight the design, brand, and web teams that did such amazing work to go from "we need a calculator" to a very polished estimator that helped many understand the model more clearly.

Liz, Ali, Stewart and Anders — take a deep bow. As intense a process as it was, you exemplified teamwork and a commitment to excellence, and it shows. Thank you.

Ali was one of the original people focused on bringing this to life. Not only was he directly in the loop — Ali was the original creator of the "Project Holmes" name for this project, which we still use today.

In our collaboration on the Header Evolution and Pin Bar project, Ali demonstrated incredible capacity to tackle challenging, high-ambiguity design challenges. I appreciate how passionate and dedicated he is — building solutions through real explorations and live visual mock-ups which can result in better solutions.

Hey Ali, I've really enjoyed our collaboration on the Header AI rollout. Early on it was clear how nicely you partnered cross-discipline with PM to create a shared vision for an extensible system while juggling the header TDD, pace points, established product systems, user research, and internal opinions. Not an easy task. Your early walking deck built a rock-solid foundation for both the "who" and the "how."

Ali — you keep the team focused on solving real user problems, ensuring we build with purpose rather than just because we can. Your guidance and dedication set a strong example, fostering a culture of integrity and thoughtful decision-making.

Ali, it's been great working with you on the shared-organization workstream. I thought you handled the escalation to put a presentation together to share with org leaders very well on such short notice — the final touch was delivered at a high standard.

Your attention to detail results in high-quality, delightful user experiences. You incorporate well-crafted elements — motion, iconography, spacing — into each feature from the start, always presenting ideas at their best.

Ali's contributions to the CWD alignment and framework efforts have been exceptional. You consistently bring clarity and structure to complex challenges, demonstrating a strong ability to synthesize ideas across diverse teams.

Working with you is one of the highlights of my focus on Teams Integrations. What impresses me most is how your work creates coherence across such an enormous design surface — Pages in channels, the Copilot integration, the broader chat/channel header evolution, mobile frameworks. The sheer breadth of what you're responsible for putting together and "making work" is remarkable.

Ali is a strong, dependable design partner across some of our more complex framework-level projects — Mobile Header and the first-class modality playbook in Teams. That combination of systems thinking, craft, and partnership has made him someone I trust on ambiguous cross-functional work.

Working with Ali over the last few months has been one of the easier parts of the mobile header and mini-dashboard work. He brings actual reasoning to designs — not just opinions.

What stands out most is his level of dedication and passion. He consistently brings very strong attention to detail — especially evident in the header evolution work. He ensured the design was both robust and consistent from a design-system perspective, which made the handoff to engineering unusually smooth.

I really value how collaborative he is. He made a strong effort to involve stakeholders throughout the process — something I don't see as often, and it makes a big difference in building alignment and delivering better outcomes.

Ali has been an outstanding design partner throughout the Header Evolution project. Ali's ability to stay adaptable and agile has truly stood out. He consistently makes quick, thoughtful iterations based on new feedback, demonstrating both speed and depth.

I think you do an amazing job juggling an immense knowledge base of all the details of not only our project but also adjacent projects. Header Evolution had a lot of historical decisions — you were so smart in every choice.

Ali has done an outstanding job. He quickly grasps the problem and commits effectively. His ability to build prototypes for research, coupled with continuous push for simplicity and refinement, highlights his care for detail.

Ali has been a fantastic design partner across both the mobile experience and key portions of the desktop work for Header Evolution. He brings strong attention to detail and a thoughtful, user-centered approach that ensures designs are grounded in data and real user needs.

Ali is a very intelligent and collaborative design partner. Across our work on mobile IA, headers, and navigation, I've appreciated how open he is to sharing early thinking and pressure-testing ideas before they harden.

Your ability to keep everyone aligned on design-system recommendations for the header and facilitate discussions around emerging horizontal patterns has been critical. Your contributions always set a strong foundation.

You bring a strong point of view to design. What stands out most is how quickly you ramped up on NGC mobile when that design space had been behind for a long time. You moved it from stalled and all over the place to organized, actionable, and easier to hand off.

How much you care about designing the right experience for users. You push for solutions that are coherent, scalable, and actually make sense for users. The positive attitude you bring every day — it's genuinely a pleasure working with you.

I have learned a lot from you this semester. You have always been inclusive in meetings — and even though our work was completely remote, it felt like we were a team working on the same problem.

I've worked closely with Ali over the past 6 months. He consistently shows strong initiative across projects and takes ownership. I've learned a lot from him, especially in how to communicate design clearly.

I really appreciate your storytelling and thoughtful framing. I appreciate you keeping all three teams grounded. Your research insights as well as your push for an aligned framework has helped us make great progress.

Ali, it has been such a pleasure working with you on the Loop integration! Your design work and feedback are always so thoughtful. I admire how you balance the requirements and constraints.

I really enjoy working with Ali. His input is always thoughtful, constructive, and grounded in a strong design perspective. He brings a fresh point of view that often helps me see my design ideas from a different angle.

Your insights and easy-going personality make you easy to work with. When collaborating, you're very detail-oriented and very organized — so even if we don't have a call to talk about things, it's easy to work async.

You bring a rare mix of confidence, clarity, and humanity. You're direct and honest, but also deeply empathetic and collaborative. You make design discussions feel like solid, productive spaces.

You're always willing to help when someone has questions. Every time I've reached out, you've been generous with your time and really clear in your explanations.

Working with you was fun! You are considerate, listen well, and speak clearly — always adding value and great ideas. I would work with you again any time.

This is too good not to share. The Cloud Foundations design system is one of the best examples of proactive future-proofing and designing for multi-tenancy and scale I've seen at Unity. Originally built for Cloud Services, this system has now been adopted by much of Create, Grow, and all things in between.

Thank you for the awesome update! Expanding from 2 kits to 4 kits is a huge milestone. Keeping our system shipshape sets the high bar for quality and consistency. We're super lucky to have someone as dedicated as you steering the ship.

Huge shoutout to Ali on the new Data Explorer v2 release! Ali — stellar work here. You continue to elevate how our customers digest data in the dashboard.

This is really fantastic! I know how much effort Ali and Johann put into this. It's going to accelerate shipping Muse Chat and Hexadocs GA, and for that, I am grateful.
